End GBVF Collective
Scope of work:
The End GBVF Collective was created as an informal and voluntary platform, open to all stakeholders involved in the response to gender-based violence and femicide in South Africa. The Collective provides a space for government, civil society, development agencies and private citizens to collaborate and strategise together.
Originating from the #TotalShutdown Movement in 2018, which presented 24 Demands to President Cyril Ramaphosa, the End GBVF Collective has played a crucial role in shaping the National Strategic Plan (NSP) in collaboration with the South African government. The NSP outlines six key pillars aimed at eradicating gender-based violence and femicide by 2030.
SUSCO leads the entire communication function. A key element of this project is capacitating different conveners of each NSP Pillar (government and civil society) as storytellers so that the work begins to spread organically beyond the content and media that we generate.
